Wow! Looks rather well fed! Maybe that’s why our goose population has dropped to manageable levels!

@LuFins-Dad said in IRS to close loophole: depreciating the same asset repeatedly: I’m sure it’s not going to affect those Rideshare drivers that have wisely incorporated, then reincorporated, and have used that loophole… And don’t forget that the original entity that sold the asset to the new entity STILL had to report the income and pay the income tax from the sale…< I was wondering that on reading the article....How much could one have really saved doing this?? There's probably a bunch of crap I could/should be doing in my own little business that would have had some benefits..I dunno. Seems so stupid. Why isn't it as simple as "Revenue was 'X' actual expenses were 'Y', that's the profit, let's pay some shitty taxes and move on with life.

One point David Burton made in the OCR a couple of times was that some couples really had no business getting married in the first place. I agreed with him then and continue to agree. If a couple grows apart and decides to end the marriage then it should be entirely their choice and right to do so.

I should do it. ChatGPT would make a good presidential debate moderator due to several key attributes that align well with the requirements and expectations of such a high-stakes and highly visible role: Impartiality and Objectivity ChatGPT, as an AI, has no personal or political biases. This ensures a fair and balanced moderation where all candidates are treated equally, preventing any appearance of favoritism or partisanship. Comprehensive Knowledge Base ChatGPT has access to a vast repository of information, including historical data, current events, policy details, and previous debates. This allows it to ask insightful and relevant questions that challenge candidates on their knowledge, positions, and plans. Real-Time Fact-Checking In presidential debates, accuracy is crucial. ChatGPT can provide real-time fact-checking to address any misinformation or false claims made by candidates, ensuring the debate remains informative and truthful. Consistency and Rule Enforcement ChatGPT can consistently enforce the rules of the debate, such as time limits and speaking order. This consistency helps maintain order and ensures that all candidates have an equal opportunity to present their views. Calm and Composed Moderation Presidential debates can become heated and contentious. ChatGPT's ability to remain calm and composed can help de-escalate tense situations, maintaining a respectful and productive atmosphere. In-depth Questioning ChatGPT can generate follow-up questions based on candidates' responses, probing deeper into their policies and positions. This ensures a more thorough examination of each candidate's platform. Multilingual Capabilities In a diverse country, language inclusivity is important. ChatGPT's ability to understand and process multiple languages can help include questions and information relevant to a wider audience, reflecting the diverse population. Time Management ChatGPT can effectively manage the allotted time for each segment, ensuring that the debate stays on schedule and that all topics are covered within the available time. Inclusivity and Accessibility ChatGPT can incorporate questions from the public, gathered through various channels, ensuring that the concerns of ordinary citizens are addressed. This inclusivity can enhance the relevance and engagement of the debate. Adaptability and Customization ChatGPT can be tailored to fit the specific format and requirements of a presidential debate. Whether it's a town hall format, a one-on-one debate, or a multi-candidate stage, ChatGPT can adapt to the needs of the event. Continuous Improvement ChatGPT can continuously learn and improve from each debate it moderates. Feedback from organizers, participants, and viewers can be used to refine its moderation capabilities for future debates. Focus on Substance ChatGPT can prioritize substantive issues and policy discussions, steering candidates away from personal attacks and towards meaningful dialogue about their vision for the country. By leveraging these strengths, ChatGPT can serve as an effective, fair, and efficient moderator for presidential debates, facilitating a high-quality discussion that informs and engages the public.

The truck had siren-type lights on top of it... for what, who knows. It's funny/sad how someone's true nature comes out when they're in a vehicle (or posting online). I hope my kids will learn. If someone is ever road raging, just get out of their way if you can. I've never even flicked someone off before... and if I get the bird, I usually just smile and wave back, which is 100x more of an insult to them than if I returned the favor!
